About the word Shekinah

The word Shekinah (shuh-kigh-nuh) means dwelling. It refers to the visible manifestation of the presence (or Shekinah Glory) of God. A luminous cloud. It is the very presence of God on earth. (see Holy Bible-Exodus 24:9-18)

"Happy St. Patrick's Day!"

This is quite a busy time of year for Irish Dancers. Our girls just finished their St. Pat's Day performances. Two hectic, fun-filled days! Here's a picture of them at one of the first performances. I'm glad I got this photo when they were still fresh. Boy, were they exhausted by the end of the two days. I was too, and I didn't even dance. Of course, I was still suffering from jet-lag, but I survived. We all did! We had a great time with our friends, making people happy with our Irish tunes and step dance.

Whether you're truly Irish in heritage as we are, or just a little Irish at heart, we hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!

Irish Blessings:
"Dance as if no one were watching, sing as if no one were listening, and live each day as if it were your last."
"May your home always be too small to hold all your friends."

An Irish Prayer:
May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer."
